The Belgian virtual provider Mobile Vikings makes eSIM available for smartphones. The eSIMs have no additional cost and are available with all plans, but do not work in smartwatches. The provider also increases some data bundles.
New and existing Mobile Vikings customers can purchase a Apply for eSIM online. The virtual SIM cards work in compatible smartphones and tablets. When applying, users must fill in which device they have and the provider will check whether it is compatible. A list of compatible hardware is also online.
Mobile Vikings also changes a number of its subscriptions. The rate plans of 10, 12 and 20 euros per month come with data bundles of 1.5 GB, 2.5 GB and 10 GB. That was 1GB, 2GB and 7GB. Current subscribers automatically received the larger data bundles.
In Belgium, eSIM was previously only available from Orange and from Proximus for business customers. Telenet currently only offers eSIM for smartwatches. In the Netherlands, T-Mobile, Vodafone and KPN support eSIM.
