The mobile vaccination campaign against covid-19 will conclude at the end of the month, so the Health Secretariat of the Cochabamba Mayor’s Office called on the population to complete their inoculation scheme.
During this campaign, Sinopharm’s vaccine is being applied to children from five to 12 years of age and to pregnant women; Adolescents from 12 to 18 years of age receive the Pfizer vaccine, both in the first, second and third doses.
Meanwhile, the third and fourth doses of the Pfizer and Sputnik V vaccine are being supplied to the elderly.
The head of the Mobile Campaign, Rosse Mery Álvarez, reported that, to date, more than 400 people have been vaccinated in different public and private institutions and in some OTBs in the municipality.
In this context, the workers of the Municipal Slaughterhouse were inoculated and in recent days other dependencies of the Cochabamba commune were also reached, but the Federation of Teachers, Genoveva Ríos Educational Unit and other institutions were also admitted with the vaccination.
“The OTBs of the municipality are being reached after coordination with the leaders to define the place, time and number of people who will receive the covid-19 vaccine,” Álvarez said.
He recommended that the population, who should already have the third and fourth doses of the vaccine for greater protection in the fifth wave of covid, register, “we invite all people to comply with their vaccination schedule because it is a way to take care of yourself and take care of people around you”, he said.
He announced that, in the following weeks, the “Safe Family Campaign” will be worked on, which consists of workers organizing themselves and taking their relatives so that they can also receive their vaccine against covid-19. (Cochabamba, Agencies)
