The main visual for the theatrical anime “Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM” to be released on January 26, 2024 has been unveiled.
The “Mobile Suit Gundam SEED” series is set in an era when people built plants (space colonies) and began living in space (CE = Cosmic Era), and the story is set in a time when humans have been able to build plants (space colonies) and live in space (CE = Cosmic Era). It depicts the conflict between the “naturals”, the human race of the world. The first TV anime, “Mobile Suit Gundam SEED,” was aired in 2002, and the sequel “Mobile Suit Gundam SEED DESTINY,” which takes place two years after the first, was aired in 2004. “Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM” is a completely new movie version produced approximately 20 years after “DESTINY”.
The main visual features Kira Yamato (CV: Soichiro Hoshi) and Lacus Clyne (Tanaka) standing with their backs to each other, with the catchphrase “You are inside me. Am I inside you?” Rie), Athrun Zala (Akira Ishida), and Shinn Asuka (Kenichi Suzumura). Behind it are the new mobile suit Rising Freedom Gundam, driven by Kira, and the Immortal Justice Gundam, driven by Athrun.

In addition, the synopsis and power map of the work were also released. The story is set in 75 CE, where after the great war between the Earth Alliance and Plant depicted in “Mobile Suit Gundam SEED DESTINY,” wars continue, including an independence movement and an invasion by Blue Cosmos, which aims to exclude the Coordinator. In order to calm the situation, a world peace monitoring organization, Compass, is established with Lacus as its first president, and Kira and the others intervene in battles in various places as members. Then, Compass receives a proposal from the Emerging Countries Foundation for a joint operation against Blue Cosmos’ headquarters.
From November 24th, movie tickets that come with an A4 clear poster featuring the main visual will be sold at each screening theater and on the Major mail order site. Online tickets currently on sale come with a wallpaper (digital bonus) using the main visual. The price for both is 1900 yen.
ABEMA has started streaming the missed event “Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FESTIVAL ~CONNECT Beyond That Era~” held on November 19th. You can watch it until November 28th, and the ticket price is 4000 yen. Purchase benefits include a digital picture ticket and a behind-the-scenes interview video.
