Mobile medical teams have been organized in the capital to monitor the status of guests in hotels where tourist groups from China live. This was reported to RBC by the deputy mayor of the capital for social development Anastasia Rakova.
“We worked through the issue with the Committee on Tourism, prepared a list of hotels and travel companies that can provide up-to-date information about groups from China,” Rakova said.
The vice mayor noted that in Moscow there has not yet been a single case of a new coronavirus infection detected, but all the necessary anti-epidemic measures have already been taken in the city. “To date, 11 people have been tested in Moscow with a possible suspicion of coronavirus – no one has confirmed this disease. All tests are negative, ”Rakova emphasized.
Rakova also noted that a sufficient supply of necessary consumables for sampling for laboratory research has been formed in the capital. There is a stock of special medical equipment, as well as antiviral drugs for emergency prevention and treatment.
An outbreak of pneumonia caused by a previously unknown type of coronavirus began in Wuhan late last year. The infection has spread beyond China: cases have been reported in South Korea, Singapore, Japan, France, the United States and other countries. According to WHO, 2798 people are infected (2753 of them in China). China National Health Commission reported about 4515 confirmed cases.
