Mobile mammographers will tour the Province during the summer – Cba24n

Mobile mammographers visit towns in the interior of Córdoba during the summer. Access to these studies will be in advance, which must be requested at the nearest public health center.

The program’s care includes counseling, early detection of breast cancer through mammograms in people between 40 and 75 years of age, and follow-up in treatment and subsequent follow-up.

“In Argentina, breast cancer is the leading cause of death from women’s tumors – representing around 1,600 deaths per year in Córdoba,” said Leila Badrán, head of the Breast Cancer Early Detection Program of the Ministry of Health.

“Being able to reach,” he continued, “with the strategy of mobile mammographers to the different towns of the province, guaranteeing free public access and quality to diagnosis, contributes to the decrease in the prevalence of cancer and to the reduction of health inequities ”.

These days mobile mammographers provide care in the towns of Salsipuedes and Anisacate, where they will remain until January 15.

Then, the health teams will tour Costasacate, from January 11 to 29; Colonia Caroya, from January 18 to 29; Bulnes, from January 18 to February 5; Malagueño, from January 18 to February 5; Laguna Larga, from February 8 to 19; Jesús María, from February 8 to 26; Colonel Moldes, from February 8 to 26; Parque Santa Ana, from February 15 to March 12; Oncativo, from February 22 to March 12; Villa del Totoral, from March 1 to 19; Vicuña Mackenna, from March 1 to 26; Colazo, from March 15 to 23; and Villa Cura Brochero from March 15 to April 23.

The studies will be carried out with a previous shift, which must be requested at the nearest public health center.

It should be clarified that it is an estimated schedule, in case there is any modification, it will be updated at the time of requesting the turn.
