Padang Panjang –
Official car with plate number BA-35-N, which is used Head of Satpol PP Padang Panjang City, West Sumatra, Albert Dwitra, was deliberately damaged by being hit by a building pole. The results of the interim examination revealed that the motive for destroying the official car was for insurance claims.
Reported detikSumatra, the car was intentionally damaged before the insurance claim was made. But it turns out that the car was actually not registered as an insured vehicle.
“That was the result of a temporary inspection. The car wanted to be included (into insurance) so it was damaged first. But it turned out that the car was not registered with the insurance company,” said Head of the Padang Panjang City Communications and Informatics Office Ampera Salim when asked for confirmation detikSumatraMonday (20/2/2023).
According to Ampera, all official vehicles of Pemko Padang Panjang are insured. However, there is a possibility that the insurance period for BA-35-N has expired or has not been renewed yet, so it is not registered.
“Not registered. Maybe it hasn’t been extended yet. The car was released in 2018, the insurance is 5 years, so it runs out this year. The car was damaged for an insurance claim, but apparently it wasn’t registered,” he said.
Previously, a video of vandalizing an official car was circulating on social media. Viewed detikSumatra, Monday (20/2), the video shows a number of officers in Satpol PP uniforms watching their colleague crash a red car into a building pole. Not only the front, but also the rear of the car.
