HBR2 would be: One 3840 x 2160 (4K) at 60 frames per second (hertz)
HBR3 can do that to 120 Hz.

I think they reserve a part for the USB3 hub on the cable, and it gnaws away from the video bandwidth.

But:

When connecting to USB-C, if your PC doesn’t support HBR3, please switch the USB hub setting to USB 2.0 and the resolution will support 3440 x 1440 @ 100 Hz.

I don’t understand what HBR3 means in this context.

The setting should be: USB2, 100Hz, USB3, 60Hz.
