MMA | Return like thunder! Vémola ran over his opponent and celebrates after more than a year

He last introduced himself in a cage in March last year, but after long medical conditions he was able to return. After an unusually long break, Karlos Vémola presented himself at the OKTAGON 33 tournament, where he competed in the semi-heavyweight with Polish tough guy Michal Pasternak, the holder of a black belt from Brazilian jiu-jitsu. The duel of two identical styles attracted attention, yet did not last long.

In the opening seconds, both wrestlers checked their posture, but then moved to the ground. Vémola threw his opponent to the floor of the cage in a classic takedown and held him under him for more than three minutes. The Terminator even managed to climb into a full mount, but there was no danger from it. But then, from a seemingly innocent position, he was able to find space for an arm-triangle choke, which he tightened in an absolutely exemplary manner. Pasternak resisted for a moment, yet after less than four minutes of fighting he knocked out.

The Czech Terminator did not sweat much on his return and succeeded in style. A heavy pre-match bite in the form of a Polish tough guy turned into light prey. In a fortnight, Vémola managed to succeed in the second match in a row, and after boxing he also won the MMA. In the post-match interview, he did not forget to mention the German Terminator Stepan Puetz, with whom he would like to fight in the near future. This would lead to a spicy battle of two Terminators.

“Thank you to all the people on your team for doing so much work after a fortnight, and I strangled a guy with a black belt,” Vémola said after the match. “added the popular beater.

But the 36-year-old UFC veteran definitely does not want to relax. He will most likely go to the event again on July 23, when the OKTAGON 34 program is in Prague’s Štvanice. This is where the title match could take place. Will it be so?
