MMA fighter Kirill Sambros was detained in Moscow. The athlete faces up to three years in prison under Article 228 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, reports “MK” with a link to the Mash Telegram channel.
Sambros was stopped last night in Shmitovsky Proezd in the center of Moscow. During a personal search, a package was found on the fighter, which, according to the results of the examination, contained 0.97 grams of the drug. The athlete was taken to the police department, from where he was later released on an obligation to appear.
Sambros himself claims that the package contained a nutritional supplement intended to prepare for the fight scheduled for Saturday.
Earlier it was reported that ex-footballer of the Russian national team Ivan Bugaev was caught with a bag of drugs.
