Steven Cherundolo, club icon of Hannover 96, will take over Los Angeles FC in Major League Soccer (MLS) in his home country for the coming season. The 42-year-old, who played for 96 from 1999 to 2014 and worked for another three and a half years as co- and youth coach for today’s second division soccer team, will succeed former US national coach Bob Bradley in Los Angeles.
“We know what works for the LAFC and also in the MLS, and Steve has a unique mix of international and national experience at the highest level that fits these requirements,” said LAFC Managing Director John Thorrington.
