We already wrote about the fact that OSM Czarnków will be taken over by Mlekovita in May.
The final decision on this matter was made at the end of last month. Representatives of OSM Czarnków voted for the merger with Mlekovita. 25 people voted FOR, 2 AGAINST, and 8 people abstained from voting. The official merger is expected to take place over the summer.
The president of Mlekovita assured that the products of OSM Czarnków would not disappear from the market. He also announced that they would appear throughout Poland, and not only regionally – as at present. The name and logo from Czarnków are not to disappear either. Already in May, it was emphasized that the merger must be approved by the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection, which is expected to take up to 3 months.
According to the industry portal Wiadomoscihandlowe.pl, the UOKiK has already received a notification of the intention of concentration of two companies. – The purpose of the concentration is the merger of cooperatives, which will allow to strengthen their technological potential and ensure better economic results by reducing processing costs in processing plants, fully using the technological capacity of processing plants, expanding the range of manufactured products and reducing expenditures related to advertising and marketing – explains the portal.
The date of the planned concentration is September 1.
