The Yankees made a trade with the Los Angeles Angels to acquire their former player, Tyler Wade.
The versatile 27-year-old was dropped from the Angels roster earlier this month after a slow start this season. Since joining the team, Wade has posted a .218 batting average, hitting just one home run and driving in just eight runs.
The native of Murrieta, Calif. had spent the past five seasons with the Yankees organization. Wade appeared in 264 games with the team that drafted him in 2013 in the fourth round.
