The New York Mets made a new addition to their pitching rotation on Friday by offering a two-season contract to right-hander Taijuan Walker.
Walker, a former Toronto Blue Jays in particular, will pocket $ 10 million in each of the next two campaigns.
In New York, the 28-year-old gunner joins a group of pitchers including Jacob deGrom, winner of two Cy-Young trophies.
In the shortened 2020 season due to the pandemic, Walker had 11 starts with Seattle and Toronto, posting an earned-run average of 2.70 with a 4-3 record.
For his entire career, Walker is 35-34, with a 3.84 ERA in eight MLB seasons.
