MLB scout says Jasson Dominguez is ready to return to the Yankees

The New York Yankees do not have plans to call up Jasson Dominguez to the Major Leagues at the end of this season, unless there is an unforeseen event on the roster. Although we saw him in a game against the Detroit Tigers just over a week ago under the “27th player” rule, the Dominican outfielder has been in the minors throughout 2024.

Dominguez has a .309/.366/.489 slash line with 8 homers, 27 RBIs and 14 stolen bases in 48 games with the Bronx Bombers in 2024, proving that he has nothing left to prove at those levels.

There has even been speculation that if the Yankees do not have room for him in 2025, he could be used as a trade piece.

In fact, one MLB scout went so far as to say that Dominguez is ready to return to the Major Leagues with the Yankees, as he is fully formed as a baseball player.

“A scout from a rival team assigned to the Yankees system who recently watched Jasson Dominguez during his coverage of Scranton said, ‘He’s ready to come back. I saw flashes of everything you want to see. He ran well and hit the ball out of the park. He didn’t defend as well as I’ve seen him in the past…but he’s ready.'”Newsday’s Erik Boland wrote.

Now it remains to be seen whether “El Marciano” will be called up by the Yankees in September, when rosters expand in the majors.
