The Court of Honor of the House of Representatives (MKD) has decided to suspend the complaint against the members of Commission I of the DPR, the PDIP Faction Effendi symbol. Habiburokhman said his party did not follow up on the report against Effendi. Habiburokhman said Effendi’s open apology was taken into consideration by the decision of the DPR MKD.

“Esteemed defendant Effendi Simbolon publicly apologized on September 14, 2022. Defendant also apologized at the MKD meeting,” Habiburokhman said reading the results of the ethics trial decision on Thursday (15/9).
“On this basis, the alleged violation of ethics against teradu Effendi cannot be followed up by the Honorary Court of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia,” continued Habiburokhman.
Effendi then responded to the verdict. Effendi said he collaborated and followed the decision of the Presidential Decree MKD.
“I have heard the verdict. This is a decision of the Honorary Court of the Council that I will use as a guide. I am allowed to accept the verdict for my measure, for my family,” Effendi said at the decision meeting.
Previously, on the same day, the DPR MKD had asked for clarification on the 3 Effendi journalists. The three reporting parties clarified, namely individuals on behalf of Bernard Denny Kamang, the Panca Marga Youth organization and the Antarctic NGO organization.

Maman said there were two points the reporters wanted for Effendi. First, he wanted Effendi to apologize to the mass organizations. Second, he asks the MKD to consider ethical sanctions against Effendi.

“But secondly, if he’s apologized, there’s a confession. If that’s the confession, they come to the Constitutional Court for what ethical sanctions were imposed on Effendi Simbolon,” he continued.
