Fraction PDIP The RI DPR has stated that members of the DPR are protected by law when expressing opinions in the official forum of the DPR. Despite being protected, the Honorary Court (MKD) of the DPR will in any case summon the members of Commission I of the DPR Effendi symbol for saying “TNI is like a gang”.
This was announced by the vice president of the DPR MKD Habiburokhman. He said Effendi Simbolon would still be summoned by DPR MKD at 11.00 WIB.
“Well, yes, I’ve been called in for clarification, what kind of problem it is,” Habiburokhman said when contacted on Wednesday (9/14/2022).

Party Vice President Gerindra said Effendi Simbolon would still be called even though he was already in the PDIP. He stressed that the question of the honor of the DPR has yet to be clarified by the MKD of the DPR.
“It’s MKD as a court, it’s their job, so regardless of factions and so on, MKD is at the forefront of maintaining the honor of the DPR. So we want to make that clear,” he said.
Earlier, the PDIP faction spoke to I DPR RI Commission member Effendi Simbolon, who was denounced to the Honorary Court of the House of Representatives (MKD) for saying “the TNI is like a gang”. The PDIP faction said DPR members are protected when they express their views in the official DPR forum.
“But, when it comes to MKD, I haven’t been able to do that. However, we also have friends there, and Mr. Effendi when he talks about his ability as a board member. When it comes to space, in business meetings, these friends have their rights protected, “said the leader of the PDIP faction. DPR RI Utut Adianto during a press conference at the parliamentary complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Wednesday (14/9).
Effendi symbol TNI is known to have talked about “TNI is like a gang” to mass organizations during a meeting of DPR RI’s Commission I with the Ministry of Defense (Kemhan), the TNI commander and the TNI chief of staff on Monday (5/9). It should be noted that members of the DPR RI are protected by law regarding MPR, DPR, DPD and DPRD (MD3) when they speak.
Utut Adianto said his faction would communicate with the MKD regarding the relationship against Effendi Simbolon. If everything is reported to the DPR MKD, the members of the DPR will not dare to express their opinions during an official meeting of the DPR.
“So later we will communicate with friends from MKD. Later, if there is no room, nobody dares to talk anymore, if everyone talks in the MKD-in,” he said.
