Mjällby borrows Sarr from MFF

Amin Sarr has belonged to Malmö FF’s organization since 2018 and as of August last year, the club has also belonged to the club’s A-team.

During this year’s season, however, Sarr has had difficulty getting playing time, which means that the club is now lending him to the all-Swedish competitor Mjällby.

– Amin has not been given as much playing time as he and we had thought. He is a player we believe in enormously and who has many fine qualities in his register. He needs playing time to take the last step and we see Mjällby as a good environment for Amin to develop in this situation, says MFF’s sports manager in a comment on the club’s website.

Sarr himself:

– I haven’t had that much playing time lately so it felt right with a loan to get more minutes in my legs. Mjällby is a hard-working team with skilled players so it will be an exciting challenge. I’m still young so I look forward to developing and hopefully scoring some goals.

Mjällby’s sports director Hans Larsson to Blekingeklubben’s website:

– Amin is a player that we have had a desire to connect with for a long time. During the summer, there have been more Allsvenskan clubs that have been looking for him, but we are happy that he chose Mjällby AIF. He is a powerful deep-going forward who, despite his young age, already has an all-Swedish routine. He masters the inverted game but is also a great asset in the offensive penalty area.

The loan extends the season and Sarr can be taken out already this weekend when Mjällby faces IFK Gothenburg.

During this year’s season in MFF, Sarr has been noted for three appearances in the Allsvenskan.
