Axel Norén: Thank you! It feels very much like coming home. It’s been a while since I last played here, but I have fond memories of my time with Mjällby back in 2017-2018.
Senior Editor: Your performance last season with GAIS was truly phenomenal. two goals and a strong sixth-place finish as newcomers is a testament to your talent. Did you have any doubts about returning to the Allsvenskan after your time abroad?
Axel Norén: To be honest, there were some tempting offers from overseas clubs. However, the pull of returning to my hometown, playing for the club where my career blossomed, and being close to family and friends just felt right.
Senior Editor: Hasse Larsson,Mjällby AIF’s sporting director,has mentioned his attempts to sign you last summer. Ultimately, what convinced you to choose Mjällby this time?
Axel Norén: it was a combination of factors. Hasse’s persistence certainly played a part! I was also impressed with the club’s vision for the future. They are clearly ambitious and resolute to build a strong team.And of course, playing in front of the passionate Mjällby fans is something I realy missed.

Axel Norén: I want to contribute both defensively and offensively. I see myself as a leader on the pitch, someone who can help guide the younger players and inspire the team to achieve its goals.
