Mixed Zone: Ronaldo, Messi, Neymar: Beckham wants to attract world stars to Miami – News

David Beckham is still thinking of signing world stars like Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi or Neymar for his club Inter Miami from the North American professional soccer league MLS. The former captain of the English national soccer team relies not least on the city’s pulling power.

Discussions about Ronaldo, Messi or Neymar had “existed from the beginning,” he said in an interview with ESPN. For the players, however, the question of whether they wanted to come to Miami after the end of their career in Europe is “honestly not that difficult” to answer: The city attracts players “who were stars in Europe”.

Beckham is a co-owner of Inter Miami. The club played their first season in the MLS last year. Miami had signed goalscorer Gonzalo Higuain and French world champion Blaise Matuidi, among others. Nevertheless, the prominently strengthened team was eliminated in the first round of the play-offs.

Beckham has already signed an old acquaintance as a new coach for the upcoming 25th season of the MLS, starting in mid-April: he once played with Phil Neville, most recently coach of the English women’s national team, at Manchester United.
