Mix of Good Weather and Possible Storms in New York Area for the Weekend

NEW YORK — To cap off the work week, the New York area will have a day of good weather and temperatures just before the return of possible storms for the weekend.

The possibility of severe weather would be for Saturday afternoon and last through Sunday morning. At this point, the greatest risk appears to come from damaging winds and hail, although tornadoes cannot be ruled out either.

Nearly the entire tri-state area is in the risk area for lightning, hail, destructive winds, potential tornadoes, and even flash flooding. The rain is not expected to be too heavy at any time, so flooding is not the main concern, but it remains a threat for particularly saturated areas.

What will the weather be like for the Dominican National Parade?

Skies will clear on Sunday after the system moves in. With this, the event can be held with spectacular conditions. See here everything about the festivity.

Forecast for the next week

We won’t have to wait long for the next round of showers and storms as they look set to arrive Monday night through Tuesday morning. But the good news: after that, the weather looks pretty nice for the rest of next week. The highs will be very seasonal, in the mid 80’s with lots of sun over the weekend.
