WASHINGTON – Prominent US Senator Mitt Romney has clearly criticized the withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan. “I understand those who think we should leave Afghanistan, but I disagree with them,” the Republican wrote on Twitter on Saturday (local time). The withdrawal was “an invaluable blow to the credibility, reliability and honor of our nation,” said Romney. There is no such thing as an “effective strategy to defend our partners”. He could not understand why the withdrawal was being made in this way.
