In the last few days, Maximos has been trying to build a narrative for the coming TIF, as after the result of the European elections, the deterioration of the government is continuous. In particular, the story of the versatile modernization and the phrase “closer to the citizen” have returned to the interior of Maximos.
Kyriakos Mitsotakis is once again trying to manage the great political deterioration of the last few months, exhausting his strategy once again on a communication level. However, the reality is completely different from what Maximos says. At a time when the prime minister is calling for multi-power modernization, this government has on its back the biggest scandal of the post-revolutionary period, which is the case of wiretapping, where the heads of the armed forces, political opponents and even members of the cabinet were monitored. At the same time, at the level of accuracy that plagues society, the government has not taken any substantial measures, resulting in despair among the citizens, who fight for survival to make ends meet.
At the same time, the public health system is collapsing with the government clashing with the neoliberal ideologies of previous years, where it talked about privatisation. At the same time, and in terms of security, the government is evaluated very negatively by the citizens.
In short, pluripotent modernization is actually a “pluripotent collapse” of the welfare state and the care of our weak fellow citizens.
