He called it “vaudeville”
Russian ambassador Eleonora Mitrofanova called the scandal “vaudeville” regardless of whether she will be invited to the opening of the 48th parliament in Bulgaria or not. The diplomat spoke to the TASS agency today.
Without Mitrofanova and the ambassador of Belarus at the first session of parliament
“There was a general resolution of the European Parliament which recommended that Russian ambassadors isolate themselves as much as possible from official political contacts. But this is a recommendation and therefore each country has the right to make its own decision on these issues. Bulgaria, since my point of view, it went beyond the plan by raising in the press the question of whether or not Mitrofanova should be invited to the first session of parliament – a whole story that is very reminiscent of “vaudeville”, he said.
