Commission President Werner Salzmann (SVP/BE) told the media in Bern on Thursday that the Commission was unable to complete the preliminary consultation on the deal due to time constraints. On June 4, she bowed again to the Federal Council’s request for a loan. This means that the Council of States can only make a decision in the autumn.
