A policewoman on duty at an office of the Genoa Police Headquarters, following some Whatsapp messages to her boyfriend, had her service pistol taken away and at the same time was assigned to internal non-operational tasks.
The episode was revealed by a sentence of the TAR to which the policewoman, chief assistant, turned, assisted by the lawyer Francesco Visciotto, because she had been denied by the ministry the possibility of viewing the documentation relating to her proceedings drawn up by the Health office.
The judges recognized this right while denying the possibility of accessing the police report which is at the origin of the affair.
It was the policewoman’s ex-boyfriend who requested the intervention of the police by calling the emergency number 112. This was after receiving some Whatsapp messages on his mobile phone which later turned out to be a misunderstanding.
In any case, the administration immediately triggered preventive measures with the withdrawal of individual armament and the assignment to non-operational services for two months.
A further appeal was also presented against the measure.
