Mistake of the health ministry when counting coronavirus infections

Mistake of the Ministry of Health in counting new coronavirus cases. The ministry reported a lower number of infections because, according to officials, they made a mistake in summing up cases from individual provinces.

At 10:30, the resort, as usual, announced new coronavirus infections in Poland. According to the ministry, the number of new cases was 825. However, when cases from voivodeships were added, the number was higher – 832.

As it was not clear where the mistake was – whether in counting all the cases or in one of the provinces – RMF FM contacted the Ministry of Health. After recalculation of the cases by a department employee, in the handset fell surprised “about actually”.

Moments later, the ministry corrected the information. The ministry admits that there was a mistake in adding cases from provinces. The number of new infections is thus 832, and the total number of cases recorded is 55,319.
