Amber Waterman of Missouri had planned her unimaginably treacherous act well in advance. According to US media, the 42-year-old created a fake Facebook account and joined a Facebook group for mothers with the name “Lucy”. There she met Ashley Bush, who was looking for a job. Waterman offered his mother-to-be a job from home, and the two met for the first time shortly thereafter.

After the first meeting, Waterman explained that Bush now needed to meet his alleged boss and go with her to Betonville, Arkansas. The pregnant woman, who was 31 weeks old, agreed, not knowing she was signing her death warrant. Instead of the alleged date, Waterman took her to an unspecified location on October 31. There the 42-year-old shot the unsuspecting pregnant woman. She later confided to her husband Jamie about her murder, after which the couple went to the crime scene. Together they removed Bush’s body and burned him.
A few days later, the police tracked Waterman through her Facebook messages and arrested her. The American confesses and leads the police officers to Bush’s guise. Investigators also discover the body of the unborn child, but in a different place. Whether the baby was born or cut out of the womb by Waterman, the responsible Justice Department did not comment in his statement. In the room there is the hypothesis that the defendant wanted to steal the baby from a pregnant woman.

The 42-year-old and her husband now have to answer in court. While Amber Waterman faces the death penalty, Jamie Waterman expects a lighter sentence. It is not yet clear when the process will begin.
Bush’s relatives will accompany him in great agony. The 33-year-old leaves behind three children, ages 8, 7, and 3, and boyfriend Josh Willis. The couple wanted to get married shortly and their daughter would be born at the beginning of the year. Her name should have been Valkyrie Grace Willis.
