“Mission Impossible” on Latvian Television. How is the New Year’s Eve show made? / Article / LSM.lv

However, the New Year has not been canceled by anyone, it, like other years, will occur regardless of the circumstances. While spending the old year in a good mood, this year Latvian Television has taken special care, which will offer its viewers to spend the evening of December 31 in the mood of the musical show “Mission Impossible”.

Filming of the annual program of the Latvian Television New Year’s show, observing all the set restrictions, is taking place differently than usual this year.

Only masks are allowed in the TV pavilion. Before filming, all participants and also the technical staff were tested for Covid-19.

“All the people involved are very professional in themselves, sensible, they observe all distances and masks. Everyone accepts, understands and is ready for the situation. They are very focused so that nothing is violated or not done that way, ”emphasizes the director of the filming site Mārtiņš Sudrabs.

The end-of-year musical show, like the Hollywood blockbuster, is called “Mission Impossible.”

According to the creators of the program, in the past year, almost everyone has performed our small “impossible mission” on a daily basis.

“What we want to give people is really even more courage and inspiration for next year, with the idea that if we can do this, we will be able to do absolutely anything we can imagine, because this year has proved that everything is possible. , also the impossible, ”explains the author of the script Liene Bērziņa.

The best professionals of Latvian Television have been involved in the creation of the show. Director Arvīds Babris is responsible for the image on the television screen. Musicians such as Intars Busulis, Don, Aminata, the groups “Astro’n’out”, “Carnival Yoth”, “Little Prince” and “Brainstorm” will perform in the festival program.

Producer Guntars Gulbiņš says: “We call it a concert-show, because we will have a very beautiful holiday stage. The best and most beloved musicians in Latvia will climb on it, with their favorite songs, as well as some surprises and news. ”
