Elena Paskova from Chepelare, who had been wanted for four days, was found dead in a ravine next to the middle lift station of the “Mechi chal” ski area, it was reported on the official page of the Chepelare Municipality.
The 77-year-old hat maker left her home to the post office to collect her pension. She then got lost in the outskirts of Chepelare.
Acquaintances spotted her at the Chepelare exit in the direction of Smolyan. Her relatives, through appeals on social networks, started looking for her the same day. Later, more than 70 people joined – policemen, municipal employees, relatives and friends of the family, cavers and mountain rescuers from Pamporovo and Chepelare.
A tracking dog also participated in the action. Everyone hoped that the wanted woman had taken shelter somewhere and that they would find her alive and well.
