She was found safe and sound, the New York State Police wrote in a statement press release.
They also report that a suspect has been arrested.
The state police sent out a so-called Amber Alert on Sunday morning for Charlotte Sena. Amber stands for “America’s Missing: Broadcast Emergency Response”.
– The child was taken under circumstances that lead the police to believe that the person in question is in imminent danger of serious injury and/or death, it was stated in the search warrant.
Shortly before she was reported missing, Sena should have cycled around the park with some family friends, before she left to cycle on her own.
Fifteen minutes later – when she did not appear again – the family launched a search for her. However, at 6.45pm they found her bike, but no sign of Sena.
Two minutes later, the mother called the emergency number to report her missing – and by 7 p.m. the police were on the scene, reported NBC News.
