Missing man in his 60s found dead in Lyngdal

On Thursday, there was a search for a missing man in his 60s. The missing person was reported missing on February 22 by his family.

Police say a dead person was found on Thursday afternoon who has been identified as the missing man.

Relatives have been notified of the discovery.

The discovery was made in the defined search area, and the deceased was transported to Sørlandet hospital.

– We have no hypothesis about what happened, says operations manager Tom Einar Gausdal in Agder police district.

Earlier on Thursday, a press release was sent out about the planned search.

– The last safe observation of the missing is at Agnefest boat harbor in Lyngdal on 17 February. Information from on-site camera surveillance shows that the missing person was last seen in his own boat in the wharf facility, said operations manager Knut Odde.
