Missing man from Maas rescued after major search

At Well in Limburg, a man was taken from the Meuse last night and taken to hospital with symptoms of hypothermia.

Emergency services were alerted around 02.30 am that someone was in the Maas, reports 1Limburg. The fire brigade searched the water and from the bank for the man. A diving team and police officers were also deployed.

The man was eventually discovered downstream thanks to a thermal imaging camera in the police helicopter. The fire brigade brought him to the quay. There he was picked up by paramedics and taken to hospital.

It is unknown how the man ended up in the water.
