The French family that had disappeared in the Tikal National Park has been successfully located by volunteer firefighters. Fortunately, first aid was provided to them after their discovery and they were later transferred to the Mayan World Airport.
The Guatemalan authorities had issued several alerts after the disappearance of this family made up of four members, including a six-year-old boy, in the Tikal National Park, in Flores, Petén. They disappeared on August 9.

Family members are Ana Gretel Adelaida Hauessler Pivaral, 40, Patricia Hauessler Porras, 68, Valentin Christian Arnau Capentier Hauessler, 6, and Antony Cedric Patrick Carpentier, 41.
Tikal National Park, a Unesco world heritage site since 1979, is the main Mayan archaeological site in Guatemala. It is located more than 500 km north of the country’s capital. With its rich history and monumental pyramids and temples, it is a popular destination among tourists. Although it is also known for being a remote area where drug gangs operate.
