Missing Dutch woman found in Italy

In the northern Italian city of Vigevano, the body of 40-year-old Dutch Sara Lemlem has been found missing since december 4 after an argument with her Italian partner. Lemlem has Dutch nationality, but is originally from Ethiopia.

Her body was found by a group of workers on a construction site in the elevator shaft of a building under construction. The construction site was a few minutes walk from the woman’s House.

The cause of death is not yet known. Police say they keep all scenarios open and await the results of the autopsy.

The woman disappeared after a quarrel with her partner. Before she left, she said she wanted to go back to the Netherlands. The woman’s Italian friend said on television that he has nothing to do with her disappearance.

In the Italian investigation program Chi l’ha visto he said that she went out after the fight. “I thought she wanted to cool off. But Sara never came back,” he said.
