Laura Perselli’s mother, the Bolzano woman who died three weeks ago together with her husband Peter Neumair, died at the age of 96. The old woman never knew of her daughter’s disappearance.
On January 4, a few hours before disappearing into thin air, Laura Perselli had visited her mother, who had just been discharged from a long hospitalization. In recent days, however, her condition worsened again and last night she passed away.
In the meantime, research continues today along the Adige, especially near the Ischia Frizzi bridge, where investigators suspect that their bodies may have been thrown into the river.
In recent days, the investigations of the Bolzano carabinieri, coordinated by the prosecutor’s office and aimed at shedding full light on the movements of Benno Neumair after 21 on Monday 4 January, have resulted in new, important steps. After the examination of the telephone cells, the seizure of the car and the apartments, then carefully examined by the RIS specialists, last Friday, the friend with whom Benno had spent the night between 4 and 5 January handed over some clothes to the prosecutor that, that evening, the young man had taken off to take a shower and she had washed.
On Monday afternoon, the Bolzano carabinieri returned to the premises in Via Castel Roncolo 22 and left with three bags of objects and clothing. The absence of some heavy tools with which the young man trains has made investigators suspicious. The investigations continue, the mystery remains dense.
Benno may perhaps be able to explain where those training weights, which are no longer found, have gone.
