Missing baby from Maastricht found in the Belgian Voer region | Inland

The Belgian police found the baby on Tuesday afternoon around 6 p.m. in a house in Voeren, just across the Belgian border near Eijsden. The baby’s mother had previously told AD that the baby was in Turkey, where she would be well looked after.

The police are investigating the role the mother and others involved in the disappearance played. The juvenile judge had placed the baby out of the house, but the girl was missing since October 22. If mother and others are involved in the disappearance, they will be prosecuted for committing a criminal offense: withdrawing the baby from the competent authorities, police said.

The Youth Care Agency took care of the child on Tuesday.
