Missile Attack Hits Kyiv Again, Causing Injuries and Damage

Missile attack Russia again rained on the area Ukraineespecially Kyiv, on Wednesday (13/12) early morning local time. The missiles were shot down by air defenses, but the debris fell, causing damage to a hospital and residential buildings in Kyiv.

As reported AFPWednesday (13/12/2023), the Ukrainian Air Force reported that the Russian military launched missile attack on Wednesday (13/12) early morning, around 03.00 local time. It was stated that there were at least 10 missiles launched by Moscow troops towards Kyiv.

The Ukrainian Air Force claims all the missiles were shot down by its air defense system. However, the missile debris caused damage and caused injuries.

The head of the Kyiv city military administration, Segiy Popko, reported that at least 51 people were injured by missile debris. The figure includes six children who were also injured.

This marks one of the highest number of injuries from attacks in the Ukrainian capital in recent months. This missile attack was the second in the last week against the Ukrainian capital.

Popko, in his report, said there were dozens of reports of incidents of falling missile debris, including from the Desnyansky district where 17 residents, including seven children, had to be evacuated from a burning building.

An AFP journalist in the Ukrainian capital reported hearing several explosions and air raid warning sirens sounding.
