Missed to See Geminid Meteor Showers? Look here

Liputan6.com, Jakarta – Monday December 14 2020 is the day the event occurs meteor Rain Geminid. The event is called the largest and brightest in the world.

In Indonesia, Geminid meteor shower occurs during the afternoon before the afternoon. However, in some countries, Geminid meteor showers occur at night and are easier to observe.

Astronomers consider meteor showers Geminid as the brightest meteor shower event this year. They are fast, bright and colorful, which can be watched simultaneously and can even be enjoyed by the general public.

This Geminid meteor shower occurs every year when the asteroid 3200 Phaethon passes through the sun. As we fly past Earth, gravity pulls on parts of the asteroid’s debris field and we see smaller meteors burning up in the atmosphere.
