Time and time again, patients let their doctor’s appointments go by unexcused.
Patients have to pay a cancellation fee of up to 40 euros for missing an agreed appointment with the general practitioner Naghme Kamaleyan-Schmied without an excuse. She runs a health insurance practice in Vienna-Simmering and switched to appointment ordination in the course of the corona pandemic. Since May 2020, it has been possible to make appointments with the family doctor around the clock via a website. Patients can also set whether they want to be reminded of their appointment the day before by e-mail or text message.
