Miss USA 2019 Chesley Christ was found dead in New York, the New York Post reported, citing police sources.
The body of the 30-year-old winner of the competition was found on Sunday morning next to a 60-storey skyscraper. Christ lived on the ninth floor of the building, but was last seen on the 29th floor.
According to the publication, before the deadly fall from the building, Christ left a note stating that she wants to leave everything to her mother.
“We are devastated and deeply saddened to announce the death of our beloved Chesley. She radiated a bright light and impressed people around the world with her beauty and strength. She cared, loved, laughed and shone,” the Christ family said in a statement. , quoted by the publication.
Shortly before her death, Christ posted an Instagram post with a photo of her that read, “May this day bring you peace and quiet.”
