Miss Sri Lanka 2020 Demands Beauty Queen 2019 After The Crown Seizure Incident

Sri Lanka brings news of a new beauty pageant in the country recently. There was an incident of winning the crown on the night of the announcement of the winner.

The first winner, Pushpika Del Silva, experienced the incident, who had to surrender as a beauty queen Sri Lanka 2019, Caroline Jurie, took that crown of victory from her.

Not only bear shame, Pushpika Del Silva claims he also suffered injuries due to the incident. He called the way Caroline Jurie took the crown on her head very forceful.

“I had pain in the vertebrae of the head when the crown was taken,” Del Silva said.

Caroline Jurie said her decision to take the crown from Del Silva was to straighten out the rules of the contest, which would not allow a divorced woman to become the winner. This statement has been denied by Del Silva who challenged Jurie to prove his statement.

Not only that, Pushpika Del Silva also expressed her anger at feeling that she was being insulted in front of many people when the incident was watched by the public at large. He also sued Caroline Jurie legally.

“The crown has been symbolically taken from my head. I want to inform you that I have taken the necessary legal action against the injustice and humiliation that has occurred,” continued De Silva.

The person in charge of the contest from the Miss World organization came down to investigate what took place on the winning stage Miss Sri Lanka recently. What happened was judged by them to violate the rules of the procession of this event.

Knowing that, Pushpika Del Silva thanked Miss World for the support given to her.

“I don’t hate anyone and I forgive those who did it to me at that time. Nothing can be won with hatred,” he said.
