The director general of the Organization Miss France, Sylvie Tellier, announced that the reign of Clémence Bottino, Miss France 2020, would not be extended despite the confinement. While the young woman was elected last December, her traditional Miss activities have come to a screeching halt.

Confined with family in Guadeloupe
The 20-year-old from Guadeloupe wore the crown of Miss France last December. Barely two months later, all of its traditional activity came to a halt. Sylvie Tellier, the patroness of the Miss, recalls that “all the events which a Miss France usually attends (Cannes Film Festival, Roland Garros, Tour de France)” have been canceled or postponed.

Like all the other French people, Clémence Bottino is also confined. She took the opportunity to join her family in Guadeloupe and even confided on TF1 to have left his scarf in Paris.
Miss France 2021 maintained but a video casting
Sylvie Tellier also specifies that, for the moment, the holding of the election of Miss France 2021 at the end of 2020, is not threatened. Sylvie Tellier recalls: “The only times Miss France was canceled was during the war. I hope that in September, we will no longer be at war as our president says. And if we do not ‘ is no longer at war, there is no reason why the election should be canceled. ” No reason either therefore to extend the reign of Miss France 2020.
The conditions of the election have already been rethought within the Miss France Committee. The departmental elections which were to take place in April / May have been postponed until the summer or early September. This should therefore not interfere with the regional elections in October.
