Title winners Miss Argentina and Miss Puerto Rico announced they were married in secret after having a “private” relationship for two years.
The two beauties announced it through social media, where for some time they showed only cordial friendly relations.
Mariana Varela, 26, from Argentina, and Fabiola Valentin, 22, from Puerto Rico, first met in 2020 when they represented their counties at the Miss Grand International pageant, the Daily Mail reported.
In a 30-second video posted to both of their Instagram accounts, the women share snippets of their travels, including a clip of them cuddling on a beach in Puerto Rico and enjoying a romantic boat ride in Mexico.
The video, which garnered over 1.8 million views in three days, then moves on to the engagement. Show off the couple’s apartment, complete with an assortment of red and white balloons, rose petals and fairy lights. Gold balloons with the words “Marry me?” they are placed outside the window before the video stops on a clip of Fabiola putting a ring on Mariana’s finger.
The bride and groom chose nearly identical silver engagement rings, with a diamond set on a pavé band.
The video ends with the couple kissing in front of the San Juan Marriage Bureau, where they got married on October 28.
