“Misr El Kheir” lights up the Cairo Tower on the World Mental Health Day

The Misr El-Kheir Foundation lit up the Cairo Tower this Friday evening, on the occasion of World Mental Health Day, in cooperation with the Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and the Janssen Pharmaceutical Company, one of the international companies of Johnson and Johnson, to highlight the importance of Psychological healthAnd what we must do to improve our mental health, and to help those who need psychological support, so that everyone enjoys a greater quality of life.

The Misr El-Kheir Foundation said that the World Mental Health Day comes this year under exceptional circumstances at the global and local level, as the daily lives of all peoples of the world have changed due to the Corona epidemic and placed a new burden on health care, and at a time when mental patients suffer from isolation. Social Corona has increased their isolation, stressing that this is in line with the efforts of the Egyptian state to support the Egyptian citizen, who is considered the most important national wealth for the country.

Afaf El-Gohary, head of the health sector at the Misr El-Kheir Foundation, said that the event included lighting the Cairo Tower, the Misr El-Kheir Foundation building and the National Council for Motherhood and Childhood at the same time, for the sake of mental health for all, noting that the Cairo Tower was chosen to light it because this edifice demonstrates the greatness The Egyptian people, their steadfastness and resilience as a mighty force in front of adversity, and it represents a high summit through which you can see the beauty of Egypt and its attainment, as it is a message of hope in life and the summit always means success, and the fulfillment of dreams which is what we aspire to in mental health because life always bears opening more doors of hope, to reach The highest goals of psychological satisfaction are to live in good mental health.

She added that choosing the highest building in Cairo is a symbol of height and viewing life more broadly, and in order to send a message to society and the whole world that we all support the right of every person to good mental health, and this includes providing all support to those suffering from mental ill health, whether from the parties or individuals. In his relationship circles, because the soul gets sick just like the body, but the disease of the soul goes beyond its limits to afflict the rest of the body with many pathological symptoms, and therefore the health of the soul must be taken care of.

Al-Gohary indicated that the activities will include awareness sessions held in the Mansheyat Nasser Cultural Palace for the people of the neighborhood to spread the culture of concern for the mental health of the mother and children and all family members and how to deal with problems and conditions that may lead to mental illness and how to face them. We also study awareness sessions for social workers and psychologists in schools. The head of the health sector at Misr El-Kheir Foundation indicated that the world is interested in mental health, explaining that the World Health Organization will launch an electronic demonstration on Saturday, October 10, in which world leaders, mental health experts and celebrities from countries of the world will participate in various fields to call for acceptance of psychiatric patients in the global community.
