Mishustin expanded the list of industries affected by COVID-19

Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin has included passenger rail and water transport in the list of industries most affected by the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic. The decision on this is published on website government. The decision was made in connection with a drop in demand for transportation due to sanitary and epidemiological restrictions.

“Among the support measures that enterprises from affected sectors can use are deferral of payment of all taxes (except VAT), as well as rent payments when using real estate owned by state, municipal or private property, interest-free loans for urgent needs and payment salaries, soft loans at a rate of 2% for any purpose, a moratorium on bankruptcy, conducting scheduled and unscheduled inspections, ”the explanatory note says.

In addition, for representatives of small and medium-sized businesses from the affected sectors, there is a delay in paying insurance premiums and halving their size if the wages of workers are above 1 minimum wage. The restructuring of payments formed during the period of granting a deferral of payment of taxes and insurance contributions for a period of one year monthly in equal installments is also provided for. They also have direct financial support in the form of subsidies that can be spent on salaries and payment of debts for utilities.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered the government to include inland water transport and passenger rail transport in the list of industries most affected by the effects of coronavirus. The meeting, on the basis of which this order was given, took place on May 7.
