A 46-year-old man took to the skies on his paramotor to enjoy the Moselle skies this Saturday, October 17 at 3 p.m. The pilot gained height then fell from an estimated height of between 30 and 40 meters. The accident occurred just after the craft took off at a field in Rémering, near Tromborn. The man is seriously injured. The firefighters of Freyming-Merlebach, Saint-Avold, Bouzonville and Téterchen intervened to take care of him. The forty-year-old was evacuated to the central hospital of Nancy by the helicopter of SAMU Lorraine.
The air transport brigade, assisted by the Creutzwald gendarmerie, will carry out an investigation to determine the causes of the accident. The thesis of a bad estimate of the height is for the moment privileged.
