A fire broke out during the night from Friday to Saturday September 5, rue des Écoles in Yutz. The firefighters intervened in numbers shortly before 4 a.m. The barracks of Thionville, Yutz, Hayange, Metzervisse and Terville were mobilized. The fire would have started from the roof of a house, before spreading inside. It took several hours for help to contain the disaster and prevent the flames from ravaging the terraced houses in this former SNCF city. According to our information, the neighbors will still have to be relocated at first.
The couple who reside in the small destroyed building, inconvenienced by the smoke, were transported to Bel-Air hospital in Thionville to carry out follow-up examinations. The Thionville national police were also on site to try to establish the circumstances of the night fire. An investigation is underway.
