The shootings raised fears of the worst, Monday in the middle of the afternoon in the heart of the Belle-de-Mai district in Marseille. Around 3:20 p.m. two men equipped with a long weapon, probably a Kalashnikov-type rifle, opened fire on the facade of a car garage. Immediately, crews from the BST and the Bac were dispatched to the scene of the shooting, which ultimately caused no casualties. Several impacts were noted on the facade of the building, and seven 7.62mm cartridge casings were found on the ground. It is probably an operation of intimidation.
