The Norauto store, at the Toison d’Or in Dijon, was the victim, Wednesday morning August 19, of the theft of an electric scooter for an amount of 500 €. A customer managed to take a picture of the thief and his car’s license plate. The police launched a search and, finally, around 11 p.m., the gendarmes checked the car. On board, two men: the 22-year-old driver, from Maretz (North), and the passenger, a 41-year-old from Dijon. The box of the scooter, empty, was found in the vehicle. The gendarmes handed the two men over to the police, who overheard them in custody. The Dijonnais was exonerated and released. The driver, on the other hand, admitted to stealing the scooter because he needed the money to get home. That he had been staying with a friend in Dijon for a few days and that it was in a district that he had sold, for 150 €, the machine. Already known to the police, he will be tried in a preliminary conviction hearing (CRPC) in a few months.
