Serial killer Michel Fourniret was placed in intensive care at Henri-Mondor hospital in Créteil (Val-de-Marne) according to Franceinfo.
The one we nickname, the Ogre des Ardennes, was found lying on the floor of his cell this Friday morning in Fresnes prison.
Aged 78, he suffers from heart problems and also has Alzheimer’s disease.
Michel Fourniret was indicted in November 2019 in the Estelle Mouzin case. He ended up confessing his responsibility in this affair: “I recognize there a being who is no longer there by my fault”, he had declared to the judge. He also considered “relevant” the fact that the body of the girl could be in one of his former properties in the Ardennes.
The partial DNA of Estelle Mouzin was found in two places on a mattress, seized in the house of the Ardennes, where major excavations were carried out at the end of June, in vain, to find the corpse of the child.
The serial killer was sentenced to life imprisonment in 2008 for the murders of seven young women or teenage girls between 1987 and 2001. In 2018, he confessed to having killed two other young women in Yonne.
